Wednesday’s Website Tips #12

Wednesday's Website Tips

Contact info is central to any good website design. This is not the tab to be hidden or nested below another tab. When website visitors reach your website, you want to make it easy for them to communicate with you. For this reason, you’ll want a contact page on your website where it’s easy to find.

Benefits of a Contact Page

Your website comes down to three things: information, interest, and usability. Contact forms are where your readers will turn after they have gained the information that they came for and if they are interested in learning more. Sometimes, if their minds are already made up, they will search for your contact page first.

When choosing your fields, add the necessary ones to make contacting your leads easier and cut down on both of your time. At the same time, be careful not to overdo it. It will look like work to those filling out the form. Of course, you can require the main info (name, phone, email). However, when you review your contact page, take your readers into consideration. After you have their email address, you can send a form for them to fill out.
